By rights they should have been able to generate a new one. Easy as that. But not once since the battle in which their antler was fiercely snapped off, had Ursu been able to. Magic was a finicky thing. Perhaps it was just a matter of confidence, Ursu decided. That battle had scarred and shook them in more than one way. A broken confidence wasn’t a thing to be fixed by magic. It would need to be forged. As one would forge a fine sword from broken steel. It was a thing that required time and patience, things Ursu found themselves short on these days. Ursu huffed in frustration and shook their fur looking for just the right tree to scratch up against. They had an itch. Can’t build confidence with an itch like that.
